The foundations for 3D animation are to study real motion, physics of bodies, objects, translate it to artistic and entertaining motion to serve the storytelling.
How to find out the most important data with simple motions within Autodesk Maya that you can apply to your animation to deliver the believable and entertaining motion.
How to explore human motion through walk-and-run cycles where you will be able to analyze live-action video references to enhance your animation further.

This course discusses how to approach animation as an art form, not just a technical process. Any concept explained in this course can be applied to any tool or software, even if not Autodesk Maya, which is explaining through the course. The course starts by explaining a simple motion of a bouncing ball, the forces affecting it, how to elaborate them in your animation, understanding ball rotation, and adding exaggeration through squish and stretch. You will dive into an overlapping action exercise that emphasizes the effects of weight and gravity on a moving object without inner motivation.
For this course, you will need to install Autodesk Maya. The version of the program will be mentioned by the mentor at the beginning of the course.
