Arwa Khomayyies

A Saudi Writer and Publisher, an Associate Professor at the College of Design and Arts at the University of Jeddah, and an Assistant Professor at King Abdulaziz University. She has published many stories for children and published her first book in 2003. She also owns the “Arwa Al-Arabiya” publishing house. Arwa Khomayyies got a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from the College of Education for Girls in Jeddah, then obtained a PhD in fashion history from the College of Design and Arts, Fashion Design Department at King Abdulaziz University. Arwa is also a partner in the “Kadi and Ramadi” foundation for producing children’s books and stories. She participated in the first Children’s Reading Festival in Sharjah in February 2006, and won the Golden Book Award at the same festival for the story “Sadeel’s Cart and My Doll”. She also participated in many Arab exhibitions, including the Book Fair in Muscat in March 2006, Sharjah, Jeddah, Riyadh, Cairo, and Beirut.
