Dr. Nermeen Shehata

Nermeen Shehata is an associate professor of accounting at the School of Business, at the American University in Cairo (AUC). She worked with organizations affiliated with the United Nations, World Bank, and the European Union. She was invited to join various national and international corporate governance-related projects. Nermeen has got her research published in top-tier international peer-reviewed journals. She received several national, regional, and international awards including the Egyptian Presidency recognition at international women’s Day, Abdul Hameed Shoman Arab Researchers Award, the Rising Star of Corporate Governance Award by Columbia University, and Emerald’s Research Real Impact Award. Nermeen is a fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (HEA). She holds a PhD in Management from Aston University, UK and BSc and MSc in Accounting from Cairo University, Egypt.
