Nermine El Nemr is the founder and CEO of Elharefa, an integrated community and platform for freelancers and remote workers in various industries. She obtained a postgraduate diploma in marketing from the American University in Cairo after earning a bachelor's degree in journalism from Akhbar El Yom Academy's Faculty of Media. For 13 years, she worked in marketing and public relations for various multinational corporations, including FedEx Egypt, Kidzania Cairo, Marketers for Market Research, and EiTESAL NGO. She was named one of Egypt's top 50 entrepreneurs and one of the Middle East and North Africa's 100 most influential entrepreneurs for 2023. After realizing there was no central hub for freelancers in Egypt or the Arab world when she was working as a freelancer herself in 2018, she decided to start Elharefa. Today, Nermine leads a community of over 50,000 freelancers and entrepreneurs in technology and programming, graphic design, digital marketing, media production, virtual assistance, writing, translation, photography, video editing, voice-over, financial, administrative, and marketing consultation, and other fields. Elharefa provides online services to all governorates in Egypt, as well as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. Elharefa assists women who work from home, as well as youth in government and university students. Elharefa also trained over 3000 young people in Cairo, Assuit, Alexandria, Beni Sueif, & El-Menia.
